kendall-manning:

Hey, no worries. I tend to ramble too sometimes so you’ve been warned. If that ever happens, just stop me. Don’t be surprised if I call you Nathan either just because I like the name. A year? Wow, so you must really know your way around here. I guess you should be the person I come to if I ever need to find my way around here? Thanks, i’m excited to be here.

I guess you could say that. Yeah, if you ever need help consider me your personal tour guide.

kendall-manning:

Alright, Nate it is because I believe that’s what everyone calls you, correct? Like wise, Nate. How long have you been here? I’m assuming longer than me since I just got here.

Nate? Good choice. Yeah I guess that’s what everyone calls me, though I think it’s just easier to say. Not that the name is actually better, sorry excuse me I’m rambling. I’ve been at Luxe for about a year now, but I’ve lived in LA my entire life. Ever heard of Marcus Lewood? That’s my dad. Just got here? I guess a welcome is in order then. Welcome to Luxe.

kendall-manning:

Hi Nathan, it’s nice to meet you. Which would you prefer?

Actually, I’ve never really thought about it. Just go with whatever you prefer. It’s nice to meet you too by the way.

kendall-manning:

Hello, i’m Kendall.

Hey Kendall. I’m Nathan, but you can call me Nate.

Emmy smiled at what he said.”Oh it’s fine, I got ready way to early.” Oh God, she sounded like such a teenager. Emmy wanted to hit herself, she looked up and him and noticed the way he got his hair away from his face. She started to take notice of his hair, it looked soft and light. Emmy hated her red hair, it was so over done in her mind and it made her look extra pale; but still she didn’t want to die it. It was something that ran in the family so dying it would be some sort of insult. Besides when she had those good hair days, it looked amazing. ” So tell me about yourself.” Emmy said trying to make him forget of what she had said last.

Nathan was caught a little off guard by her question, not to many people have taken the time to ask Nathan was he was all about. Honestly, Nathan hadn’t given it much thought. His hobbies included- drinking, watching scary movies, and eating. And that was pretty much it for Nathan. He thought for a minute, and bit down on his bottom lip while doing so. “Uh, About myself..Hmm” he mumbled as he continued to think. “Well- My dad’s a lawyer, I’ve lived in California basically my whole life and um.. I don’t know, I’m just Nathan. I guess you’ll just have to learn the rest.” he said with a shrug of his shoulders. Nathan kept his eyes on Emmy as he walked past her and started to walk down the beach. “Wanna sit over on the rocks? It’s a pretty cool view.” He said while pointing off into the distance, with a small smirk on his face.

Emmy sent the text and kept walking. She could see the small waves from where she was and she could small the sea. Emmy was happy she had came here, LA was changing her. For the better of course. I mean look at this, she was going to hang out with a cute boy. She didn’t do much of that at home, so Emmy started to get nervous; but she just reminded herself that people liked her here. Then she started to think that maybe he wasn’t going to like her. She was so trapped up in her head she didn’t realize that she was already there. The thing that brought her out of her thoughts was the sand going in her flats. Emmy rolled her eyes and took them off.

She looked around for Nate and didn’t find him, she was early. Emmy decided to walk around a bit. She hadn’t been here yet, so she wanted to get to know this area well. She was walked when she heard someone shout her name. Emmy turned around and spotted Nate coming her way. Emmy smiled and waved to let him know that it was her. When he got close enough Emmy spoke. “Hi Nate.” Emmy said with a smile.

As Nathan’s feet hit the sand, little clumps seemed to climb into his flip-flops. He picked his foot up and tried to shake it out, only to get the other one caught in a hole which seemed to be the ruins of an old sand castle. “Damn” Nathan muttered under his breath, careful not to disturb the others that were near. Nathan poked his head up and scanned the horizon for Emmy, hoping she didn’t see his little ordeal. He was in luck, her back was still turned, Nathan let out a sigh of relief and continued on down the beach. Finally, Nathan was able to reach Emmy. He smiled, and ran his fingers through his hair, pushing it back away from his face. After responding with a “Hey” Nathan’s eyes shot to the sand, bringing his head down just a little. His foot started to wiggle around in the sand nervously. “Sorry I was late- I uh, I loose track of time really easily.” he explained before bringing his sight back up to Emmy’s face, with a short smile.

emmy-larimore:

Emmy was glad she was meeting people, and she liked how people looked at her. She felt alive and happy in this town. She hadn’t felt like this at home once, she felt like she belong and that made Emmy smile every morning. She had meet mostly guys, but the girls didn’t seem as bitch as they where back home. To say the least Emmy was embracing all things here. She had met someone that really caught her eye, his name was Nate. Her first impression of him was how nice he was being to her. So when he mentioned he was bored Emmy took that chance to get to know the guy better. They ended up on agreeing to meet at the beach and just hang out.

Emmy went to her closet and looked at some of the clothes that where still unpacked. She had to get to that soon, but what she going to wear to day? She settled on a light summer dress and some flats. She didn’t want to put heels on, those usually meant It’s a Date; but this wasn’t one. Right? I mean they were just going to go to the beach. Emmy started to over think for a bit like she usually did; but you really couldn’t blame her because of her past. Emmy calmed down and grabbed her phone and decided to walk there. When she saw she was near the beach she sent Nate a text.

Emmy: I’m almost there. xx

Nathan was laying back on his worn down leather couch, his eyes glued to the ceiling, almost in a trance from the immense boredom surrounding him. Finally he struck up a conversation with the new red head he’s been seeing around the halls. Contrary to his nonchalant attitude, he was pretty pumped about getting out of the house. Nathan quietly started to count the days he’s been cooped up, “4..5..6.” He scrunched up his face and let out a heavy sigh, disappointed in himself. “LA is supposed to be fun, exciting, going out every night- Not stuck on the couch.” he mumbled to himself as he lifted up from the couch and searched around for his flannel shirt. Nathan’s phone soon started to buzz, he grabbed it and realized Emmy was almost there and he hadn’t even gotten out the door.

Nathan hurried up his pace, and started for the door, and down the halls. Soon enough he was on the sidewalk, on his way to the beach. As he got closer, the smell of salt water overwhelmed his senses, it was comforting, and relaxing. Nathan took in a deep breath, and let it out slowly as if he was exhaling all the nervousness in his body. As Nathan looked up, he noticed a flash of red hair tossing in the wind. Nathan squinted, trying to see a little better and yelled out “Emmy?” as he began walking in her direction.

emmy-larimore:

Oh should I be honored?

You pick.

Maybe.

How about- The beach? I haven’t been there all summer, and it’s pretty close?

emmy-larimore:

I’m bored too, maybe  we can hang out?

Hang out with you? Hmm.. Well I guess I could spare some time.

So my place, or into the city?
